When Optious began creating motion design videos four and a half years ago, we dreamed of winning an award for our work. To turn that dream into reality, we worked hard to produce work that would attract attention. Our highlights for 2024 include our clients’ projects making it to the winner’s circle!

Candid.

Candid allowed us to push their brand’s vision with a new project request. With the freedom to experiment with a “cut-out style” animation flavored with our signature motion graphics.
With these ideas solidifying the direction of the motion graphic brand video, we crafted the overall look and feel of the video together with the Candid team. It took all that creative vision and talent, along with Candid’s collaboration, to create this phenomenal motion design video!
What’s humbling (and nerve-racking) is to be judged and recognized by your peers from three different international advertising awards programs. This honors us as the best in creativity and innovation in branding and motion design.

We did not expect to win many awards for our Candid video (and all Gold at that), but it’s a welcome surprise. Our next project with Candid will shine just as brilliantly!

Google

Optious has enjoyed working alongside United Talent Agency (UTA) to create beautiful motion graphics for Google. Like the Changemakers Collective, we wanted to create an engaging, slick, motion graphics-driven sizzle reel.

UTA and Google approached us to create an engaging sizzle reel highlighting their changemakers’ initiative. The sizzle will be shared with industry execs and brand partners looking to build creator-lead partnerships.

Our Google video won the Silver Award for Motion Graphics & Design from The Telly Awards.
We also received the Video of the Day Award from the Motion Design Awards, which is quite a difficult achievement to attain.

Cape Analytics

Cape Analytics needed a motion graphic video at their tradeshow booth, and we both agree this is our best yet. If the main element for the first video was tracking motion graphics on stock footage, then the focus for this video was the sequences of creative Kinetic Typography.

We had some time put aside to generate ideas for kinetic text, which included researching some of the more unfamiliar terminology for a better understanding. Since there was no audio or music, we utilized creative text ideas to ensure the animations would grab passersby’s attention and explain what the video conveyed. We also had to account for the time the text stayed on-screen to make sure the text was still readable to passersby. To do some of these things, we played the animation on our TV to ensure it worked and tested it with family and friends.

Our Cape Analytics motion design video won the Best Use of Motion Graphics & Design silver award from the Davey Awards!

We have additional motion graphic videos ready for judging before the end of this year.
