The Ask:
This was our own. After years of using the same look, we knew it was time to update our brand—and as an animation studio, we weren’t going to roll out a new logo with just a PNG file. We needed a launch video that felt like us.
The Approach:
The project started as a quick brand refresh but took a few unexpected detours. We shelved it, revisited it, scrapped most of it, and started over. The final version took shape with bold transitions, a mix of 2D and 3D, and a “visuals first” approach—something different from our usual script-driven style. We brought in brighter colors, space themes (yes, that’s an astronaut), and a logo reveal that doesn’t wait for permission to be dramatic. The sound design got just as much care—with custom panning, compression tricks, and a track that finally let every frame breathe.
This wasn’t just a logo reveal. It was a reset button. The project took longer than expected, but the result was something that genuinely reflects how Optious has evolved. And the response? Our most-liked LinkedIn post, best-performing YouTube upload, and probably the only video we’ve made where the render file name actually deserved the “FINAL” label.
